Thanks to Sneaky G Wizard who suggested that this be a guide (not sure how to tag Gamertags, someone please advise)ĭisclaimer: this worked for me and is what I did to unlock after having played through all three legitimately on Insanity. I would like to thank users DemonSpawn2714 / The SCHWARTZ 00 for finding and informing about the solution and wetwork M for finding similar solution for romance achievements that triggered this find. I will update the solution if this happens. Note that this might be patched in the future. This solution could work on completing/cheesing ME2/ME3 the same way but has not been tested. TL DR: Complete ME1 on insanity until "Insanity I" unlocks, then dashboard, shut down the game and resume the game and repeat the final battle until "Insanity II" unlocks, repeat one more time for "Insanity III". I just restarted the game and did the final fight once again. Repeat one more time for "Insanity III".Īs a sidenote, my game crashed once during the final fight but it did not affect unlocking the achievements (just a small heart attack for me). You should then resume the game right at the beginning of the Saren battle.ĭefeat Saren again and do the same steps as you did first time. Then start the game and choose to 'Resume'. Just to be sure (I personally had completed the game and when I found about this solution, I reloaded my manual save and got the rest of the Insanity achievements this way).Īfter this trigger, defeat Saren and "Insanity I" achievement unlocks just after when the cutscene with Anderson and Udina begins. I highly suggest making a manual save just before hitting the 'Control Panel' that says ' Activate' (located in the Citadel Tower) as this will trigger the final fight. The point of no return is when you begin the Ilos mission and eventually get transported to Citadel. *** Spoiler - click to reveal *** First complete the insanity run normally until the final fight. *NOTE: ACS PRO Series Custom Earplugs not included. In fact, it was the first game I played when I got there and the last game I played before I left. But I was there for GRID 2, to the point that I played it multiple times each day. Hell, the WiiU was there and the lines for that were horrific, all day, every single day of the show. Games like Halo 4, Gears of War: Judgement and Metal Gear Rising were there that year, alongside DmC, the Tomb Raider reboot, Dishonoured and Hitman: Absolution. Indeed, eventually GRID 2 was announced and I even paid to go to London for the Eurogamer Expo (before it was rebranded to EGX) in 2012 so I could play it. It took quite a while for a sequel to arrive, but I still remember tweeting about my disappointment and the GRID account replying with something along the lines of, “you never know what’s around the corner.” That tease had me grinning, as I had waited years for something, anything, that indicated a sequel was coming. Despite the game’s exaggerated physics, in many ways it was the most realistic representation of the world’s most famous endurance race. In reality, it was probably about 24 minutes, but the game would simulate the transition from day to night, back to daylight for the finish and it was legitimately terrifying at times. That was one of the coolest things in the career mode, as the end of each season would bring with it the chance to drive Le Mans 24 Hours. The biggest goal in Race Driver: GRID was to earn enough to get your team into Le Mans at the end of a season. Like the original Gran Turismo, the goal would be to earn enough to start buying new cars, sometimes dream cars. During races, icons in the bottom corner would indicate damage and sometimes a used car might wear out quicker than expected, but it was all you could afford early on. This came with its own set of challenges as you didn’t know how recklessly the car was driven before, only how many races it had competed in and how many times it had been wrecked, if any. Driving for other teams meant that a percentage of your payout would go to them, but you wouldn’t have to worry about the car too much, whereas driving your own car might give you bigger rewards, but at the cost of damaging your own car.Ĭars weren’t indestructible in Race Driver: GRID, and often you would have to buy used cars for your team. It wasn’t your typical mode either, as you were tasked with earning money by driving for other teams, so that you could eventually run your own team and buy your own cars. I played Race Driver: GRID for hours and hours, going through that excellent career mode. It wasn’t all about the online though, obviously. We all laughed when the “terminal damage” message came up on-screen, because we knew who it was without seeing the gamertag pop up. One friend even earned the nickname “Terminal Damage” as not an evening went by, without him writing off his car in at least one or two races. San Francisco destroyed our suspension and steering, Jarama had us laughing at the resident corner-cutter, and Washington provided one spectacular moment including one car flying through the air in a barrel roll, while another passed by underneath in an exquisite feat of daring. I had already played the game a lot, so I tended to win most races (not bragging, it’s simply due to me having the most experience with the game) but the laughs we had rendered the competition moot. However, once a few friends picked up the game during a particularly good Xbox digital sale, some incredible memories were made online. I rarely played online back then, indeed it wasn’t until probably a year later that I even began subscribing to Xbox Live. Whatever the reasons, I developed a real passion for Race Driver: GRID. Perhaps it was the ability to race in several different disciplines, effectively mashing together a bunch of different gameplay styles to make it feel like I was getting multiple games in one package. Perhaps it was the distinct art style, with that golden haze over everything. I don’t remember what initially drew me to the game, or why I even decided to spend my hard-earned money on it, but I’m so glad I did. The game that sparked this love of the race? Race Driver: GRID. Many of these series continued into the PS2 era, but it wasn’t until the Xbox 360 that my love of racing games truly began. When I hit my teens, it was all about the original Playstation’s Gran Turismo, Destruction Derby, Formula One (loved that Murray Walker commentary), Colin McRae Rally and 1997’s excellent TOCA Touring Car Championship, as well as more arcadey affairs like the criminally overlooked Rally Cross. I never owned a SNES, so can’t count Mario Kart as I didn’t play it until much later. When I was a kid, it was Micro Machines, Super Off Road and Road Rash. I’ve always enjoyed a good racing game, as you might expect of God is a Geek’s resident racing fan. The Collaboration Commons is located on the ground floor of West Pattee. There are 4 plastic clips that fit into slots in the sunscreen bodyħ) 6 bolts hold the sunscreen in place - 4 on the back side, 2 on the front. Unplug the light.Ħ) The rear portion of the deck lid comes off very easily. Slide it towards the passenger side and slip your finger under it. Just thread the harness through the opening.ĥ) I removed the center brake light. There is a trim piece where the harness goes through the deck lid. I also pushed the sholder harness througn the deck lid so that I could completely remove it. Be careful but they pop off fairly easily. To remove it, you really need to also remove the trim pieces from the two sides as they wrap the deck lid on the front. Follow the directions in the sub woffer thread to remove it. Two clips hold the front section in place. This allowed me to completely remove the seat back from the carĤ) With a sunshade, the rear deck lid is split at the sunshade. I did not remove it and it did not create any issues.ģ) I removed the sholder harness retainers from the top of the seat back (3 screws on the two end ones, 2 screws in the center one. Get someone to help youĢ)Removal of the latch anchor bar on the passanger side - not really necessary if you have the tools to get at the seat belt anchor bolt which lies under neath it. I'll add the following comments as respects the sunshade replacement:ġ) As noted in the subwoffer thread, removing the seat back is a royal PITA. The directions in the thread regarding replacing the subwoffer are spot on and get you 99% there. Got around to replacing the sunshade today. I'll get to this afTer the holidays AND KEEP YOU POSTED. All any of us have to go by are these postings and diagrams since none of us have done this, and so far no one else has chimed in that has any first hand knowledge. It does look like you will have to remove the fabric covered top of the package shelf and then you should see the mounting brackets for the shade. Look at the diagram and you'll see the shade tracks mount to the shelf under the rear deck, or "package shelf" as is the proper name. Do you think it is still applicable to a 2005?Īs the diagram shows that Jim, (Bad Santa) just posted, your right that you can't get to it from the trunk. I note that the thread on the sub-woofer replacement was for an older model Lexus. Local Lexus dealer did advise you had to remove the rear deck to access it. I did look and it does not appear that the shade can be accessed that way. You might try getting in the trunk and seeing if the shade can be removed from there. I just read that the motor for the shade is in the trunk under the deck. It's more likely that the step-by-step guide and photos will do the trick. If you don't come up with anything after all this, hopefully members will continue to post and someone will know the answer to your questions. This is the small white bar that says "search" in faint print. 2, Toward the top right side of the page is the tool I like the most. Try also "remove sunshade" or any thing else. This write up is originally for removal of the sub-woofer but is the same process for getting to the rear deck.Īs for how do you get the sun shade out, use 2 different search methods 1, Use the standard method you see when you click on "search" at the top of the page. However, as I found out from the author, the sun shade is NOT attached to the rear deck. I spent about 2 minutes doing a search of our postings and found this, a step-by-step guide to removing the back seat, bottom and back, and rear deck, and with PICTURES to show the steps. Kaye noticed the slight flinch when Ethine touched him and wondered whether his reaction had hurt her. Naturally, with an action close to hand, Lieutenant Kaye stayed in command of Biter, with hands enough to man the guns and the boatswain to control them. Lieutenant Kaye, instead of piling on, ordered Gunning quietly to shorten sail, and made as if to bring Biter to and snug her for the night. Lieutenant Kaye, put in the picture, was prepared to play a part, providing the Biter and a naval force to disrupt a landing and possibly apprehend some of the leading men. The short drop downriver to the loading wharf at Woolwich passed off uneventfully, and Lieutenant Kaye by what miracle no one knew was there before them, and had bespoke a berth and loaders, even a launch to help tow and nudge the Biter in, all sail doused beforehand, no need for kedges, all smart and shipshape enough for the greatest stickler in the land.īut when Kaye had suggested that he might perform a simple burial there and then, with aid from the Biter men, the old capta.īehind it all, and brooding, was the question of the Biter and Lieutenant Kaye.
